The Importance of Usability in Japan

Japan has a more focus on usability than most Western countries. A lot of those systems are still in place and they phase out, but it takes quite a few years before that happens. So people are learning and adapting at, they're adapting better, but at a slower rate I would say. As a designer then, do you get kind of more space to breathe?
