What Is the Nature of Digital Ink?

What is the nature of digital ink even at all? I think that's a question that we're still asking ourselves and doing studies around. What if it worked more like string that you could pull around the page? Or what if it works more like paperclips, where you drew it but then it wants to retain its shape? There's a whole realm there that we're thinking about that intersects in this Venn diagram with end user programming and dynamic behavior.
