A Brief History of the Nabatians by Diodorus

Nabatians are a nomadic people who refuse the comforts of settled society. It is their custom neither to plant grain, set out any fruit bearing tree, use wine, nor construct any house. Diodorus also recounts the great wealth that the nabetians had amassed due to their control of crucial trade routs for spice s and incense. When burned, frankincense releases a sweet and woody scent with notes of lemon, while mur releases a smell more like spice, bitterer with floral over ons.
