The Power of Community

In immigrant culture, they come to America, they don't have a social safety net. And part of the way that they help each other out is, yeah, they put everybody participates in what's called a giving circle or a lending circle. There's also like meal trains where one person will cook on Monday and feed the group; then another person will do it next week. So I think there's a lot of different ways that we could support one another. We're starting to understand that that's unsustainable.
