The Cyclic Nature of Psoriasis and Obesity
Central obesity can trigger psoriasis because of the inflammation that the fat cells are causing. About 30% of patients with psoriasis get psoriatic arthritis. If they have depression or anxiety, they might be eating comfort foods to make them feel better which will cause weight gain. They may not be able to exercise as much as they would like and that will all contribute to obesity.
