How to Venerate Relics
A reliquary is a high-quality vessel for relics, usually plated in gold or silver. When Father speaks of venerating a relic, that simply means to show it honor or admiration. The idea is that one is being intimate with someone who is in heaven by asking for their prayers but whose soul is just as present in their sacred remains.
