The Supreme Court just recognized, by the way, about two weeks ago in a very important case called oil states, which is driving the pro-IP's bonkers because it admitted that these are not federal grants of property rights. So even if you believe that we do need patents for the pharmaceutical industry, let's have it for the pharmaceuticalindustry. The government has the right to grant a compulsory license to some third party to make the product under patent without them having to get permission from the patent holder. They can't stop several times but they'll pay a royalty back to the patent holder - and I think it was like 6'3" or 5'4". It was really good
