The History of Tycho Brahe
In March of 1562, with Tycho now being 15, he was enrolled at the University of Leipzig in Germany. He was supervised there by Anders Badel, a well educated 21 year old Danish native. Utilizing what little he had to work with, which amounted to no more than a basic, hand-sized celestial sphere and some string, Tycho discovered that tables of predictions from Ptolemy and Nicholas Copernicus were unsatisfactory.
