What's the Difference Between Your Main Character and Your Secondary Character?
The author explains the different levels of characters that are in a book. He describes primary, secondary, tertiary as "the other wayside" and some pitfalls to watch out for. The main character is usually your point-of-view character who you're devoting time to. Secondary characters can be friends, allies or villains depending on how big they take part in the story.
