I think for a lot of people today, as well as in past generations, personal action just has not been matched by government action. Sooner or later, people in the fossil fuels industry are going to wake up to the fact that they are destroying their own grandchildren. It is popular demand that changes governments and changes corporate behavior. If we want a clean world, ordinary humans are going to have to demand that of their leaders. You're 100% correct: National nationalism is the enemy of the future.
