How to Talk About Suicide With Teenagers
Suicide is the biggest killer of young men, but women are twice as more likely to try to kill themselves. We need to think about this issue of anger and how boys and girls express their anger in a way that we don't allow girls. I'm an English teacher and it struck me that for 10 years of my career, every year, I was teaching classes of kids who feature suicide as quite a significant topic. And yet I had zero training or knowledge on how to approach this issue with vulnerable teenagers.
