There was an article recently in the new york times on american vets going to ukraine to volunteer to fight. Do you see this conflict is providing the same sort of psychic function to Americans more generally? I think that for them, this conflict also provides a certain kind of staging ground for the reaffirmation and reinvigoration of some of their most cherished ideals. It seems to me that maybe less at the military level, but certainly at the idiological level.
