Gailin Drew: Erdogan has injected Islamist politics into Turkish politics to a greater degree than had been previously viewed as acceptable in Turkey. She says he's lost popularity since Midas because of inflation, the massive like devastating earthquakes. Drew: A relatively smaller elite group of people who did not like the direction that Erdogan was taking the country is now much larger.
