Some photographers exploited the grieving by taking a spirit photographs. They would use glass, glass plates and other deceptive methods to make it look like they're were actually spirits standing or seated next to them. These spirit photographers offered something more to the living, not just for remembering lost loved ones, but see confirmation of life after death.
