Is This a Sign of Something More Systemic in the Financial System?
Silicon Valley Bank took on the role as sort of, you know, almost like a venture capitalist in a lot of tech startups. It seems to me like perhaps this is not and that it's idiosyncratic to the industry in which it was heavily invested in. I do worry about the very large security holdings the system has. The one thing that gives me a little bit of solace there is banks testing their balance statements to different interest rates.
