Armand wrote an article on gay particularity for the class unity website. In it, he argues that in the late 80s and 90s activist organizations such as ACT UP participated in civil disobedience actions against insurance rate increases. Armand: I had a lot more potential to coalesce into a broader movement for health care that unfortunately never really fully materialized.
