I think the federal reserves ability to perform any of its major functions is going to be radically reduced so it's not going to be able to tackle inflation now. I don't see how that's possible and only this week President Lagarde said there's no alternative that we'll have to continue hiking. Everything the federal reserve has done whether to tackle inflation or to keep employment levels high has actually been about aiding the financialization of the US economy, he says.
