The Importance of Rebalancing Time
A lot of people choose dates out of convenience. If you rebalance at the end of a quarter, for example, all the companies that report towards the end of the quarter, you have more recent information on than those that report at the beginning of the quarter. It does in my opinion create some seasonal effects and there are absolutely seasonal effects in things like commodities especially where you literally have different seasons. Do you think it's a very good recipe? Perhaps.
