Is There a Difference Between a Web Server and a Cloud Platform?

In the commercial cases you know what how do you start dealing with these networks of sensors and things like that. And your product is not this one device that a user does stuff to your product, it's an entire ecosystem. Sometimes those cloud platforms are. Well they're not that security sensor on the window right sometimes it's a car. So when you tie all that together it's like, what brings that whole ecosystem together?
