The album opener, O'Tannenbaum, or O'Christmas Tree, falls you into thinking that this is going to be an ordinary take on Christmas music. But after only a little short introduction, Garaldi's swinging jazz kicks in. Bossinova by Gilberto and Gettts brought cool to cosmopolitan dinner parties. Producer Mendelsohn really wanted to capture that for his animation. Deciding to use jazz was also a unique and bold decision.
