The Southern Strategy Is Over, but It's Not a Conservative
When I was national chairman with declaring that the Southern strategy was over, that the party would no longer adhere to a strategy in which we would make a direct appeal to white Southern men. And of course, like Reagan in his debate with the State Department and the National Security Apparatus when he went to Berlin and wanted to say Mr. Groverchoff tear down this wall. So it doesn't matter whether you take it out. It's crazy because they forget he's the one who's delivering the speech.
