Dr Rustam Suna Wala is perhaps Mumbai's oldest gynecologist and obstetrician. He has worked on population control for a lot of his life, including the creation of India's abortion law. The Independence Day celebration was like 'the birth of our country', he says. But as Rahul Singh described it, it was also a time of violence. His parents were attacked with sticks in their opel car but escaped thanks to luck.
