Louis XVI, the deposed King of France, was executed in Paris on January 21st, 1793. Louis will not be the last monarch to die during the French Revolution. The age of the absolute monarch came to an end with his execution. On next week's History Daily, we look at a jousting accident that turned Henry VIII into a paranoid tyrant.
