The Thumping Third Recruit Training Battalion
Para-Silent is the third recruit training battalion. Recruits are assigned to a platoon and company according to their location. It's been described as attracting drill instructors with type A personalities, who aim to build the most disciplined Marines. 19-year-old Jake Weaver was following in a family tradition when he enlisted in the Marines. His grandfather had served in the Korean War in the early 1950s.
