Is There a Future for Cybernetics?

In his day job Murrowski was tasked with optimizing the throughput of some factory producing wooden beams or something. He starts to realize that if you did that to the entire economy you could kind of give yourself four, five, six percent compounding growth constantly and that would just keep going. It's not even a massive change he's proposing there. It's just kind of taking the productive processes they already have and trimming away the fat in both the inside the firm and in the kind of interactions between firms.
