Thomas argues that there is a clear difference between corporate personhood and the rights of nature. Western law is obsessed with prope ty and ownership and individual power, Indiginous thinking is the opposite in some respects. She thinks we should be able to use everything and anything that we can to protect place. But i do find this tension really interesting because indigenous thinking and western law are fundamentally opposed at their core.
