When he first started the band, back up in Virginia after college, about maybe, we started off with just me playing Rhodes. But then I was writing songs, and I was writing on the piano,. We found this old white piano, it actually wasn't that old, but it was a pretty nice piano...I had this little L shape, that was kind of my go-to, you know, hip move quote-unquote. He'd play one hand onthe Rhodes and one hand on the piano to get this sort of combo sound.
