Is There a Social History of Asthma?
Doctor jefferson: I've always found it helpful to start my patient visits with what we traditionally call the social history. We should never think about patients as living in a vacuum or in a bubble, they're always living within some sort of social context. So i always take detailed history, similar to what you do, especially a social history. Im asking about exposures like housing conditions, other environmental exposures. And then last but not least, a socio economic status is always at play and really plays into everything that we talk about.
