I'd Like to See That in a Linear Game, but I Don't Think It's a Good Idea

I like linear games a lot of the time, because i think that gives the authors as much control as possible over the narrative. It would be a completely different game if there was branching paths and alternate outcomes to cases. I feel like it could probably be fixed that there no branching paths until the final case - up to that that means you don't have to replay the whole game. You just need to play the final case in order to figure out the things. And up to that point it could be linear. But i would like to see a little bit more varying paths in cases,. Like if you present two pieces of evidence, s you present one piece of evidence, youa follow one
