The Anonymity of Hugh Edwards

The anonymity arose after the BBC in that mad other episode where they hired a helicopter over Cliff Richard's house. There's now a sort of anonymity allowed when people are under potential investigation. If that hadn't been the case, Hugh Edwards' name would have been out there. So it's a myth that it didn't work because the name was on Twitter. It gave them a bit of space. But I think it was a bit self-indulgent of Jeremy Vine to cry for him to put the name out onto Twitter. He probably had to have done an interview with Amal Rajan where he talked about all these things. And probably in tears, it just been unbearable.
