The Current Surge in Awareness of AI and Education

I'm amused by the notion that education was revolutionized over Christmas break. Many of the same people who are either over hyping or hysterical about the threats of or promise of AI and education have been an obstacle to teaching kids how to have agency for decades. There all my work has been about giving kids agency over increasingly complex and technologically sophisticated world. And the way you get it that is by learning how to compute to be actively engaged in making things with computer code.
