The Mid-Continent Petroleum Company Strikes Again and Again
The mid continent petroleum company refused to accept a clause that called for external arbitration in case of disputes or disagree ments under the contract. In this way, the union and the mid continent came to logger heads, and the conflict dragged on and finally led to a strike. Physical fights broke out, cases of sabotage by both sides, and also spying and wire tapping where sympathetic entities in the city government helped to spy on the union and on workers.
