i think stories like this are important for us to remember the brokenness of politics, period. There were times when i thought that he wasn't being held as accountable for his messedup politics as he could have been. On the other hand, his district was dealt a crazy bad hand. He had no leverage in terms of leadership or seniority or anything in congress. So, i mean, he was just kind of doing what he could to bring home something for his district, which was suffering. And in some ways, is sort of the worst of politics.
