Coniartes and the Achia Sophia

Coniartes was captured by the Crusaders and taken to Salimbria, a town in Thrace. He lived there as an exile for two years before returning to Constantinople where he continued his history. Coniartes' story is one of chivalry which shows how Latin soldiers were far more restrained than most conquering armies across history.
