The World Building in a Comic Book

World building was never even a thought in my head, i was all about the character journey and the action. Some of the world building in a book like hell boy or like watchmen is incredible and fascinating. I am not well versed enough in comic books in general to have a very strong opinion. This is just more like an impression that i have based on what i've seen in kind of something that's kept me from getting more invested.
