The evidence showed that without consideration of race, there would be a reduction of black and Latino students on campus by about 50%. Kara: Even if you removed every single black and Latinx applicant from the entire admissions pool to Harvard, the chance of admissions for other students would only increase by about 1%. "There's just not enough applicants who are coming from black or Latinx or Native American backgrounds," she says.
