America does seem to be divided into two categories. Those who only want to look at what we've done right and are completely blind, he says. But if you look at the history of our country over time, just as in your country, we have tended to self correct. We answered slavery with abolition. We answered the institutionalized oppression of women with women's suffrage. And it's simply our turn.
