How I Moved on From the Commodity Firm
I was with the commodity firm for about three years and it was a great education because I proceeded to observe the worst secular commodity bear market in history after that point. In 1999 commodities were basically going straight down while stocks were going straight up and the dollar was very strong. From there I went into an equity trading partnership with a friend who would come into a large amount of capital through an inheritance. And we set up a partnership where I traded a big chunk of it for him and learned to trade stocks through the market meltdown in 2002 when Enron and Worldcom blew up. So that was another really interesting experience.
