Vedanta Talks - Swami Sarvapriyananda
The Atmana Atmanam Pashyan
Atmani itself is not a state, it's always there, but this is the highest state of meditation. The mind does not see the Self, it is a subtle point to be understood. See, from a Sankhand perspective, the mind and the Self, Prakriti and Purusha, they belong to two entirely different categories of existence. They can never objectify consciousness. Can you experience the external world? Of course. Do you experience your mind? Or do you aware of your thoughts, feelings, emotions, desires? Yes, of course. Then they are all objects. All of these means from external world up to the mind, all of it.
