The U.S. is now at 130% debt to GDP, 51 out of 52 times that a country has had that high of debt to GDP ratio since 1800 have eventually defaulted. The world is sitting on 300 trillion out of $900 trillion in value in bonds and those bonds are all priced in fiat currency. We haven't had a balanced budget in 22 years; we've normalized $1 trillion deficits every year in this country because there's no political will or awareness about what that does.
