I wanted our listeners to hear that this book really is about the gospel um And what a beautiful gospel it is so even would you read for us a section uh, you're the end of your book for us Certainly The message of the gospel is not that of an unknown god A deus abscondertus who in his transcendence is one with whom we finally can have nothing to do Whatever combination of awe terror respect or fascination the thought of him may inspire. That this one has a name Which by virtue of the incarnation is also an evermore god's name is crucial. It serves as a continual check on our tendensity on our tendency to conceive of god and other terms.
