How to Reengineer Your Audit Department
Carl: I wanted the reports to be focused strategically on what issues were the most important, but to be abbreviated in terms of how we presented them. When I talked to management, the theme I heard is Carl, your reports are unreadable. Because there's a reason internally it grew to that. And another was, I believe strongly in personal relationships with your auditors. So when you're discussing inevitably, a challenging issue, there's at least that trust there versus the first time they've ever heard about it.
