ESG in the Mining Industry
I have great concern about the extractive industries, but in a sense, I have no more concern than I would for any other. We work to try to make sure that there is a child's labor in Bangladesh making our T-shirts. But we need to think a lot harder about ESG in the mining industry than we are currently thinking about. Other than that, I think it's a no-brainer that we're going to go to massive electrification. The microeconomics of having very few moving parts, mainly using solid state, will always beat the micro economics of anything that's got pumping and moving fluids around.
