Gaius's Life Is a Dramatic and Terrifying Episode
Gaius does not intervene, even when one of his friends is driven away right in front of him. He removes all the seeding at the gladiatorial show to allow the poor people to watch es by stealth of night. Plutarch says, for this proceeding, the populace thought him a man, but his colleagues were annoyed and thought him reckless and violent. It was, i believed also, that this conduct cost him his election at the tribunete for the third time.
