The Characterization of Philosophers

Murdoch: Schopenhauer represents what Rickenstein shutters from an insatiable omnivorous muddled cheerful often. She and Brian Medlin who was Marxist, obviously disagreed about a lot of in philosophy and quite enjoyed doing that. He fat he found MGM a marvellously exciting book but she said well that would annoy him very much. And so, you know, it's this sort of, this sort of comradeship with the with the philosophers that she really relates to that I find really charming. Plato is of course the one which is at the basis of all of her, of everything I think for her.
