"I ran so my parents were like, having a dad as a cop. So you got to play sports," he says. "So I was like a runner, a very skinny runner kid who was always getting into trouble." He's not sure why he didn't try harder in high school: "The same reason why a lot of people don't try is that if you fail, then it's on you" 'We could go steal stuff and then throw it off bridges,' his friends would tell him.
