The Exodus of the Amalekites

The text in Exodus describes that incident as being one by which the Hebrew people plundered their former masters. The Amalekites, they historically ranged from the Eastern edge of Egypt all the way up to the eastern edge of Israel. I think they viewed them as easy pickens and maybe somebody raised the objections like, hey, they're kind of family.
