Sismic Waves and Earth's Layers
Scientists use sismic waves to create a picture and measurements of what's inside our planet. Waves coming off those earthquakes travel through earth and its layers, and we can see where the boundaries are just like anultra sound machine uses sound waves to create an image of a baby inside a belly. The moho is named andria maorovitch, a cruatian scientist who discovered that sismicwaves moved faster underneath a certain depth in the earth.
