The Cost of Parking in New York City
How much does it cost to park near Lincoln Center or near Times Square for like three hours in New York? Oh boy, I would guess it's probably on the order of 40 to $70. That's what it costs to buy a piece of land and devoted to storing automobiles. In comparison, street space is given away, well, probably 95% of it in New York City is given away for free. And that which we do charge for in New York goes for say maximum $4 an hour,. So there's tremendous incentive to drive and drive and drive until you find a curbside parking spot. You are going to save.
