The Importance of Flow in Life
I love the idea of a purchase as being an entree to sort of a larger good. Is this facilitating health? Is this facilitating relationships and connectedness? I can't see it here. It's not like money in and of itself is going to make you happier. People don't want to be around us because we're so materialistic. That is a really bad way to spend money. We get encouraged to buy stuff that's just for the sake that it's expensive or to be a signal of status. But that signal of status, there is no evidence that's really going to make us any happier.
